Full of Life – Brilliant – Acrobatic
“Moya” is a word from Zulu, one of South Africa’s languages, and means spirit, air, soul, and wind. It is what makes a person unique and is the ability to shape one’s own future. The show tells the true story of a boy who grows up on the streets of Cape Town and finds his way to the Zip-Zap Circus School, where a new beginning takes shape. Fifteen years later, he’s touring the world and playing the leading role in his own life.
“Moya” combines impressive acrobatics with African dance and rousing music. It is a colorful celebration of South Africa’s diversity and the indomitable spirit and energy that define its people.
Nelson Mandela’s dream of a rainbow nation, with its eleven languages and numerous cultures, comes to life in a striking way through this contemporary circus production.
