Donations
Support Winterfest Salzburg, the festival for contemporary circus arts, artistic innovation and access to culture for all.
Since 2022, Winterfest has been recognised as a non-profit organisation by the Austrian Ministry of Finance and has been authorised to accept donations since September 2025. Donations are tax-deductible for private individuals and companies, which is confirmed by a tax certificate issued by us.
Even a small donation can make a big difference.
What will your donation be used for?
The Winterfest is a high-profile art project that is over 87% self-financed and supplemented by public funding, which accounts for 13% of the total budget.
Your donation will not be used to finance the festival itself.
It will be used exclusively for the following specific measures:
- Security at Winterfest. The festival can be jeopardised by external factors (weather, economic conditions or security). Donations help to give the festival a certain degree of security.
- Development of social integration measures to enable people with disabilities or in financially disadvantaged situations to access the festival. In 2024, this affected more than 500 people. But we would like to expand these measures.
- Support for the Austrian circus scene through production and distribution. Austria is rich in talent, but there is an urgent lack of financial resources. Thanks to your donation, Winterfest can co-produce and present Austrian circus artists.
Your donation will therefore go entirely towards social and artistic initiatives that currently receive little funding through our financial model.
